12 Best Relaxing iPhone Games in 2023: Have a Rest

We are going to guide you through a collection of hand-picked games ideal for kicking back on a lazy Sunday afternoon and even on a day-to-day basis.

Playing soothing iPhone games can help your brain produce dopamine at the end of the day or during lunch. This article is for you if you want to instill a sense of relaxation and calmness in your gaming experience.

The top iPhone games for relaxation are on my list. Hopefully, a few of these games will aid you when you’re feeling stressed or anxious. Let’s look at them.

My Oasis

My Oasis

A 3D title that is all about beautiful visuals and relaxation, My Oasis is the best title to kick off our list of relaxing iOS games. Simply construct an island, decorate it, and fill it with the different animals of your choice. It has background music that is as calming as the actual gameplay, so it fits right in.

My Oasis feels more like an experience than a game; it’s the kind of thing you should dive into after a long day at work or school to make you smile.

Cats Are Cute

Cats Are Cute

It doesn’t offer much in terms of colorful visuals, but Cats Are Cute is ideal for a number of other reasons. The visual style permeates the entire game world through the cats, kittens, and buildings that you unlock. The graphics are essentially black and white with a few accent colors.

In short, Cats Are Cute allows you to add to your cat collection, breed them, and develop your city. By the city, what do you mean? Each cat comes with its own building, so all you have to do to make something lovely is decorate and arrange them however you like!

Life in Adventure

Life in Adventure

You probably didn’t anticipate a text-based role-playing game to be included on the list, don’t you think? You’re totally wrong, though! The iOS game Life in Adventure is actually incredibly calming and was designed to be played for extended periods of time. On those journeys, you have a lot of interesting encounters and calming background music. It’s enjoyable, relaxing, and gorgeous to look at!

Sky: Children of the Light

Sky: Children of the Light

A good-hearted adventure game for the whole family where you can journey through the fantastic world of Sky, with its lofty hilltops and magnificent, magical forests, under the light’s guidance. For a variety of reasons, including its graphics, it is among the all-time greatest iOS relaxing games. It even earned a spot on our list of the best-looking games for iOS!

The 3D world appears surreal, and if you want to see it at its best, we suggest using an iPad with a larger screen.

Pack Master

Pack Master

Are you one of those people who find peace in organizing things? If so, Pack Master might be the right game for you. The basic idea behind the game is straightforward. You must put all the provided items in the suitcase and arrange them in the proper places.

This does not imply that all of your duties revolve around packing clothes. Objects like shoes, plants, and even a bowling ball must be crammed in.

There will be some items that are unique to the city you are visiting. There are far-off places with their special items to cram into the suitcase. You will receive a stamp for every city that you visit and successfully pack for.

Due to its lack of internet requirements, this game is also ideal for lengthy commutes. However, you will have to put up with advertisements if you use the freemium version.

Antistress

Antistress

The app uses physics-based objects that can be tapped or dragged to form satisfying patterns. These patterns will give you a calming sensation as you continue playing.

There are fifty toys, each with a different level of interaction. Every week, new features and games are added to the app. From squeezing toothpaste out of the tube to using an object to make lovely patterns on the sand, each game will leave you feeling extremely satisfied.

A stress-free environment is also created by the game’s decent graphics and calming soundtrack. But more variety is needed in the game. If you could select various games from a menu and more tools for each game, that would be preferable.

Grand Mountain Adventure

Grand Mountain Adventure

You’d be excused if you believed this to be merely a sporting event. This game is calming even though it has sports-related elements. This game is a must-play if you travel frequently and haven’t been able to leave your house in a while. Explore various mountaintops and ski resorts from the comfort of your couch, or try daring stunts like cliff drops.

We are aware of the relaxing effects of travel and these kinds of activities for thrill seekers. You can explore more than 7 different environments in the game. These environments have their challenges. There are more than 100 challenges to complete and pass. You can also play online with your friends over Wi-Fi.

You can also connect the game to a compatible gamepad if you’d like more control. When freeriding in the mountains, this will give you complete control. There is so much content to discover that the developers estimate there will be over 20 hours of gameplay. The challenges in this game are, however, a warning. Completing them and winning tickets often becomes a matter of sheer luck.

I Love Hue Too

I Love Hue Too

Playing this puzzle game requires you to use your critical thinking skills when rearranging colors to bring order out of disorganized color arrangements or when hunting for the tiniest differences between colors. Other kinds of tasks exist as well, like rearranging colors to produce a lovely and satisfying shape. To keep your brain active, the game provides three tasks each day.

Moreover, there are over thirty different challenges to push your limits while calming your mind. You won’t get bored with the puzzles because there are more than 1200 of them.

You can concentrate and focus more clearly on the puzzles at hand thanks to the ambient synth soundtracks in the background. You will have to go through many ads as a freemium game, though. This is the game’s sole drawback, in my opinion.

Cozy Grove

Cozy Grove

Cozy Grove would be at the top of my list if I had to rank these relaxing games according to their distinctive visual aesthetic. The game has a feel that is almost identical to “Don’t Starve,” but Cozy Grove offers a much happier and cozier atmosphere.

Cozy Grove is a life-sim game based on a spooky ever-changing island. To learn the secrets of the enigmatic island, you must wander around it, aiding local ghosts and spirits along the way. There’s a lot of crafting as well.

The artstyle is what makes the game stand out in this genre. You question whether I’m actually stranded on a spooky island because the characters are seamlessly incorporated into the setting. I love how the background around the main character is dark and mysterious but the main character is surrounded by a bright light illustrating hope. Additionally calming is the slow, mellow piano music.

Wilderless

Wilderless

As the title suggests, this open-world game is about experiencing nature. And oh boy, such details and map scaling on iOS are unbelievable. Just look at the clarity of the water reflections and the sunset/sunrise, and you’ll say “AMAZING.”

Despite being a mobile game, the main character of the game has nothing to do but explore the beautifully detailed wildlife. Just you and nature exist; there is no quest or enemy.

The sound effects in this game, which include rain, rattling thunder, splashing water, waves, wind howling, deep ocean, and more, are, in my opinion, the most realistic. Combined with the color-rich and detailed graphics, the developer deserves hats off.

Gris

GRIS

Gris (grey in Spanish) is an adventure game with a linear progression story. Recall how I said a relaxing game should have easy controls. In contrast, all you need to do in Gris is swipe to jump while scrolling along the left or right side of the screen. No boss fights, death, or challenging puzzles are present. In other words, it’s a playable movie.

The protagonist of the game is an enigmatic young woman who longs for an adventure to infuse her monotonous world with color and music. Grief and loss represent the beginning of the journey, which will eventually be replaced by rediscovery and peace.

This is the game where all three including the art style, and the soundtrack which blends with the ongoing story are what define Gris. It’s just a simple piece of minimalist art that alternately depicts hope, joy, calmness and loneliness, dejection, and depression.

Orixo

Orixo

If you’re a lover of minimalism, you will appreciate what Orixo brings to the table. You get calming ambient soundtracks as you attempt to solve more than 300 different puzzles in addition to the lovely, minimalist design.

The goal of the game is to fill each cell with a grid that has a number that matches the number in the cell. Even though it may seem complicated at first, it is simple to understand once you start playing.

But this is one of those games that is simple to learn but challenging to master. The puzzles can be very challenging. Fortunately, none of the puzzles will make you frustrated, and the visual appeal of the game will make it easier for you to focus on the various difficulties. A con of the game would be its random difficulty spikes. There is no progression in difficulty between the levels.

Conclusion: Ready to Relax?

Mobile games don’t always have to be those that require you to invest hours into hyperactive gameplay, often creating frustration. Alternatively, you could engage in a few games that encourage mental relaxation and the reduction of stress or anxiety. In my list of the top iPad and iPhone games for relaxation, I’ve made an effort to include such games.

Hope you enjoyed the list. Please let me know in the comments if I’ve overlooked any excellent relaxation apps for the iPhone so I can add them to this list in the section titled “worth mentioning.”
